Accounting Firm Digs in the Weeds

Sensiba LLP, a leading Northern California-based accounting and business consulting firm, held their tenth annual All Hands Day Friday, June 19, 2015. Over 100 employees assisted First Place for Youth and Alameda Point Collaborative restore a community garden and help youth prepare for their futures.

Sensiba employees started their day with a firm-wide briefing and then proceeded to the Alameda Point Collaborative community garden to restore the garden for new residents from First Place for Youth.

“We were thrilled that Sensiba chose Alameda Point Collaborative as the site for its annual volunteer day,” said Lisa Dyas, Director of Fund Development & Community Relations, Alameda Point Collaborative. “The work that Sensiba undertook in our community garden was truly transformative and has made the space a more beautiful and welcoming space for our residents. Many thanks to the hard-working Sensiba volunteer force!”

This is Sensiba’s tenth year participating in a firm-wide volunteer day. Past volunteer efforts include benefitting The Saint Vincent de Paul of San Mateo, the Oakland Zoo, ValleyCare Health Systems, YMCA Silicon Valley, YMCA Camp Campbell, The Tech Museum, The Boy Scouts of America, George Mark Children’s House, and YWCA Silicon Valley.

In addition to All Hands Day, Sensiba’s partners and employees give back to a variety of community organizations throughout the year as part of Sensiba’s Community Counts™ program. As a result, Sensiba proudly dedicates thousands of hours and financial donations yearly in support of many local organizations.
