How Did You Get Into The Industry:
I was “born and raised” on Togo’s restaurants, having been raised in Los Gatos. We would always go to the beach, and take sandwiches with us. It’s always been a part of my life and a part of the warm memories of childhood.
I worked in a fast paced, high stress environment leading the marketing for a high end Architecture firm. It was a typical Silicon Valley executive career—highly successful, a lot of fun—but very high stress. I saw a friend open a franchise and it inspired me and my husband to look into it as a new life direction. I quit my job and spent the next year preparing the paperwork and applications, and moving the process forward. Sixteen years later, we have two very successful Togo’s restaurants in Pleasanton, we have two children, and great work/life balance. We have the high quality of life every person dreams of living and working in the same town.
